Multi-award winning Grammy and Oscar singer, songwriter and lyricist, Common released his new album “Black America Again” in 2017. To help launch Common’s anticipated new release, an exclusive album listening event was organized in a downtown Manhattan loft where media, influencers and music leaders joined to hear excerpts of his new album. With several live acoustic / acapella performances during the event, Common introduced several tracks from the new album during the evening to guests. Issa PR helped to drive brand sponsorships and strategic partnerships for the event with Tito’s Vodka and Red Stripe, who supported the event and built a long-lasting relationship with the label for other events during the year.
The album was overwhelmingly received after the election results and generated reviews in Billboard, USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, Mojo, The Observer, XXL and other publications. This was Common's eleventh studio album.
